Now you can afford a custom-measured
Precision Target Pistol Grip |
The one-size fits all grip that came on your gun doesn't actually fit all. It probably doesn't even fit you. Maybe you shoot matches with a $300 gun and know you're not going to spend $2000 on something new from Europe. Now for well less than $200 you don’t have to own a high-end gun to get a custom grip built to your needs.
Using 3d-scanning and printing I’ve made grips for dozens of different guns and hundreds of hands from very small to very large, left and right, straight inset and cross-eye dominant. With a custom grip your hand will go to the same place on the gun every time you pick it up, which is the goal for consistent precision shooting.
Your grip can be manufactured from either a plant-based polymer (called PLA) in your choice of color or one of three colors of a wood composite that is half polymer and half wood fiber. In hand, the composite grip feels like a traditional wood grip but one made exactly to your hand. Best of all, these grips start at less than half the price of a traditional custom wood grip.
If you are unsure about what features you would like on your grip, click here to better understand the many options available. You can click here for instructions on how to measure for your custom grip.
Once you get your grip, you can further shape it as you would traditional grips with sandpaper, filing or putty. And you won’t have to wait two months to get a grip from Europe as every grip is made one at a time right here in the USA.
