Grip Pressure Measuring Device
Developed in collaboration with Doug White, coach with the MIT pistol team, this two-part device allows a shooter or coach to quantify just how much a squeeze a shooter is putting on their grip. The digital device portion (included with your order) is a $20 Sutekus Digital Hand Dynamometer. The grip portion is built to accept the digital device inserted into it. Two variations are available - one similar to anatomical air pistol grips and second shaped as a 1911 grip. Both versions are adjustable for a wide variety of hand sizes.
Speaking as a coach, there is no right or wrong grip strength number to shoot for with this tool. It is best used to help the shooter understand what a consistent grip feels like and how their grip pressure compares to their peers and coaches.
