One Size Doesn't Fit All

One Size Does Not Fit All- I wanted to share two stories of one size does not fit all. Granted, they are extremes, but in precision shooting we all need gear that fits us best. Precision Target Pistol Grips was glad to help these two outstanding young shooters get into gear that actually fits them. Both happen to be rifle grips, but the same lessons and benefits apply to pistol shooters as well.
First meet Gracie Hoyt. I met Gracie last year at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs. She was there competing and needed a very particular grip for her rifle. Gracie is a para-Olympic shooter and needs a small secondary grip behind her standard grip to accommodate how she shoots. I’ve circled it in the photo. It is very small, but exactly what she needs. And as you can see from the electronic scoring report, she really can shoot with it.
The second is Ben Collins, a collegiate shooter from Purdue University. He had exactly the opposite issue. Ben’s hand is so large that it overflowed around the bottom of a standard-size rifle grip. I created the grip you see here for him to finally be able to get a solid hold on his rifle.
It doesn’t matter of you’ve got a very big hand, a very small one, or like most of us, one somewhere in between. A grip properly sized will help you get a consistent hold on your gun and that in turn will result in more 10s down range. Reach out to Precision Target Pistol Grips today to see how we might be able to help you get a grip that finally fits. And if you know someone who might appreciate Gracie and Ben’s stories, Share this post with them.

Let's keep in mind that over several hours of pistol shooting, like a Precision (Bullseye) 2700 match, feet position may require changing.
Don't force yourself to line up with the tape from earlier that morning!
